ANNUAL TUITION IN 10 MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS

  • del Sol is a private educational center of limited enrollment and makes arrangements for the enrollment, development, and instruction of each of its members for the entire school year — from the start of their enrollment in fall or spring through the end of the school year in mid June. The tuition is an annual fee payable in ten, or with mid year enrollment five monthly installments to which parents agree to pay in full.
  • /

  • The ten monthly installments are due the 1st of each month starting in the spring enrollment season before the fall school year starts. This allows for confident commitments from both parents and del Sol. Tuition serving as a non-refundable deposit is due April 1. Successive monthly tuition is due July (before school starts in Sept) through March of the following year.
  • With mid-year enrollment, parents pay a prorated non-refundable tuition deposit of two installments due with the return of the enrollment contract, along with prorated Annual Fees, and continue tuition installments on the first of each month successively
  • Parents enrolling for fall school year in May-June after first tuition installment of April 1 is due, may “catch up” paying fees and tuition due to date with the return of the enrollment/financial contract in May-June.
  • Parents enrolling for fall school year in July-September may opt to “catch up” with all fees and tuition due with the return of the enrollment/financial contract in July-September OR have 25% of all previous tuition installments due with the return of the enrollment contract and the other 75% spread out equally between the next three installments due September – November. The last five installments from December – April have the original published monthly amount.
  • QuickBooks is our online bookkeeping and accounting service which is our right hand for handling tuition and fees during the school year. QB sends invoices, charges late fees, records payments, and much more. del Sol does not accept payment from any other methods of payment — no cash, check, Venmo, etc. We have used QuickBooks over 15 years with no security issues. We pay for this professional service which takes a lot off our “Things to do” list.

Tuition Refund Policy

If parents/guardians cancel enrollment prior to the start or completion of the school year, parent/guardian must submit notice in writing a minimum of 60 days in advance. Such cancellation is made without penalty, except forfeit of fees and tuition due at the time of the written notice and continuing throughout the 60 days of the withdrawal notice period which includes payment of two tuition installments

OUR TOTAL POPULATION is created in keeping with the Multi-age Family Grouping construct where there will be an age span of 2-3 yrs in a multi-age family grouping encompassing the total population, typically 10-12 children of ages 3 to almost 5. Unlike the typical grouping practices of 1 year age span in a graded classroom, del Sol’s Multi-age, Family Grouping is non-graded and seeks a  wider age range of children with which to interact, ie., eldest, elders, older middles, middles, younger middles,  youngers, and youngest. The Family Grouping construct expects a child who is the eldest and a youngest and all those in the wide inbetween. del Sol knows that learning and development does not need a narrow age group of peers, but actually excels with 2-3 yr age ranges.

del Sol is also keenly aware in regard to balance of gender, “Ages & Stages,” individual development, as well as our goals for diversity.

Smaller groupings will form and dissolve and reappear in varied combinations in order to meet general and specific needs of the Whole Child based on “Ages & Stages” AND individual development in multi-age groupings/cohorts, typically, and yet flexibly seen as 3s, 3s-4s, 3s-5s, 4s, 4s–5s, older 4s/Pre-Ks
